I lost someone recently that meant a lot to me. I grew up with this person and we shared a lot. Don't get me wrong I have lost family members before but never someone younger than me. Never someone that I watched grow up. Not some one that was not only was related to me on my mom's side of my family but on my dad's as well. I feel like I lost two family members in one. We were close growing up and then as we became teenager we weren't as close but close still the same. We didn't have to talk or see each other often to know that we loved each other. This is a person that could call me and ask me anything and if it was within my power to give it was his, without a second thought. This is a person that I can honestly say that I loved unconditionally. I loved him when he did bad and when he did good. It didn't matter I loved him. This is one of the persons that although we ran in different circles we were family and there was never any fronting about it. People didn't always care for the way he lived his life and that's fine but I didn't care that was my blood and I didn't give a damn. Yes, I might not have agreed with all his choices but they were his and damn it I still loved him in spite of them. I realize that people as well as family are going to judge you no matter what you do...so do you. God is the only one who can truly judge so forget the rest.
I have cried and tried to be strong and I know my faith is strong and I believe and trust that God has a reason for everything he does and that he knows best. I will hurt for a while but Joy will come in the morning and I will be stronger and wiser and I will live and love and be loved and not hold back. Cause when we gone we gone. I am finding my way out of this pain and heart ache. It's not easy but I can and will do it and I will help my family to do the same. I know and rejoice in knowing that God is good all the time and all the time God is good! Love one another like it's the last time cause we never know when it just might be.
